I was watching a re-run of How I Met Your Mother yesterday while I was on a treadmill warming up. It was the episode when Marshall and Ted wrote letters for their future selves when they were in college, and they read it years after. It was inspiring. That's why I am writing a letter to my future self too. I've decided to write a letter to the 40 year old me...
Dear 40 year old Aya,
Can you believe it? You actually reached this age? I mean, you have been smoking and drinking and not getting enough sleep. I'm just glad you've been getting the exercise that your body needs. But how many times have I told you to stay away from chocolates and chips? Yan tuloy, you haven't achieved the 28" waistline goal mo, but nevertheles, at 40, you still look good (naks naman!).
So, you and cyrel finally got your own salon business. good job! i hope more people would come and visit your place. I think you should offer more services para mas madaming choices clients ninyo. Save more money so you can expand already. Don't worry, everything will be better for both of you. Patience my dear, patience.
Your baby is all grown up. You should be so proud of him. Manang-mana sa ama! Where are they anyway? Malamang, sinama na naman ng asawa mo ang anak mo sa court. I guess they both love basketball that much. I hope he gets to join the little league this summer. Like they always say, its good to start in an early age. Oh, and he must be excited to study in a big school. Don't pressure him too much, bata pa yan.
Have you checked the time? You should be in a meeting with the people who would be building your new house. Go get dressed because driving to Makati from the suburbs will take hours and hours. Your dress will look even better if you use your strappy Jimmy Choo shoes. Dont bother bringing a bag, the LV clutch is just fine. C'mon and get your fat ass out of bed!
Don't forget to thank the Lord for your blessings and always remember to keep grounded all the time.
Love you forever,
The Aya now
