push my buttons, why dont you?

Why? Why do you keep doing what you are doing? It's effin' irritating, swear!

a. THE GOVERNMENT EMPLOYEE- these are the people who doesn't work in a government but acts like they do. Kailangan mo maghintay ng taon bago magawa ng tama ang nirerequest mo. They would give you the information that you need pero kulang. They would suggest something that would help you solve your problems, yon pala mali. And here's the best part, nakatayo ka na sa harap nila, but they would prefer talking to their neighbors or chit-chatting on the phone than ask you what you need.

b. KLEPTO- people who just doesn't have the etiquette to ask permission that they would be borrowing (and eventually getting) your things. Hindi dahil close tayo, OK lang na kuha ka lang ng kuha ng gamit ko. Di rin porke nakalatag sa lamesa, ibig sabihin libre mo ng kunin. You can always ask. Di naman ako madamot e. Oh and by the way, please return as soon as you finish using it and return it where you actually got it.

c. PG (patay gutom)- not just on food. on everything. May kasabihan nga tayo, "bakit ka bibili kung makukuha mo naman ng libre?" There's always something about the word FREE that makes you want to take everything for yourself. Here's a good suggestion, after every single person in the room or in the vicinity of 5 kms have gotten their share, and no one else wants to have the left-overs, then go ahead. Ibalot na yan!

d. WALANG BREEDING- buti pa ang dogs meron. Seriously, manners man, manners! It doesn't hurt to be nice once in awhile. I know that its only human to be all boastful and uncivilized sometimes, pero pag araw-araw sa bawat minuto na binigay sa yo e ganyan ka, my oh my, you have a lot of learning to do.

e. PLASTIC - people who pretend to be your friend but as soon as you turn, you have a knife sticking on your back. Actually, uso to e. Sometimes the situation calls for it. Parang kailangan mo maging orocan so that you can get through a day being around people you really don't like. But here's the thing, if you consider the people you are with as FRIENDS, then you don't have to be like this.

f. GEMINI- just like the sign, there are two faces and two sides. Unlike the plastic people, Gemini people can  have 2 personalities at the same time. talentadong pinoy. These are the people who pretends to be good but are cruel. People who pretends to be happy but is actually dying inside. People who pretends to be strong but eventually commits suicide. People who pretends to be mahinhin and then gets pregnant out of wedlock. People who pretends to be rich but is actually in debt. People who pretends to be matalino, pero downloaded lang pala sa Internet lahat ng tinuturo nya. People who pretends to be holy, pero kung magmura, hataw. People who pretends to have a perfect life, yon pala binunugbog ng asawa. People who pretends to be straight but is attracted to the same sex.. People who pretends to be your friend pero naiingit pala sa yo.

g. BRITNEY- people who are just plain crazy. They are the ones who thinks that being different makes them better than the others. Mga taong tamang hinala. Akala nya sya laging pinaguusapan at pinariringgan. Akala nya lahat ng memo, lahat ng nakasulat sa board, lahat ng kanta na naririnig nya, dedicated sa kanya. Nak naman ng pating! Get a life. Stop watching movies that makes you think hard. For a change, give your brain a break. Kaw na matalino! Go party. Be around people. Talk to others about non-sence stuff. Stop thinking of yourself as superior to others because you read more. Hayy naku, kung ganyan ka ng ganyan, malamang sa mandaluyong ka na namin bisitahin. Sa loob ha!

AFFECTED KA? GUILTY KA! (and I dont care kung nasasaktan ka kasi pag totoo, masakit talaga!)

To the Future Me:

I was watching a re-run of How I Met Your Mother yesterday while I was on a treadmill warming up. It was the episode when Marshall and Ted wrote letters for their future selves when they were in college, and they read it years after. It was inspiring. That's why I am writing a letter to my future self too. I've decided to write a letter to the 40 year old me...

Dear 40 year old Aya,

Can you believe it? You actually reached this age? I mean, you have been smoking and drinking and not getting enough sleep. I'm just glad you've been getting the exercise that your body needs. But how many times have I told you to stay away from chocolates and chips? Yan tuloy, you haven't achieved the 28" waistline goal mo, but nevertheles, at 40, you still look good (naks naman!).

So, you and cyrel finally got your own salon business. good job! i hope more people would come and visit your place. I think you should offer more services para mas madaming choices clients ninyo. Save more money so you can expand already. Don't worry, everything will be better for both of you. Patience my dear, patience.

Your baby is all grown up. You should be so proud of him. Manang-mana sa ama! Where are they anyway? Malamang, sinama na naman ng asawa mo ang anak mo sa court. I guess they both love basketball that much. I hope he gets to join the little league this summer. Like they always say, its good to start in an early age. Oh, and he must be excited to study in a big school. Don't pressure him too much, bata pa yan.

Have you checked the time? You should be in a meeting with the people who would be building your new house. Go get dressed  because driving to Makati from the suburbs will take hours and hours. Your dress will look even better if you use your strappy Jimmy Choo shoes. Dont bother bringing a bag, the LV clutch is just fine. C'mon and get your fat ass out of bed!

Don't forget to thank the Lord for your blessings and always remember to keep grounded all the time.

Love you forever,

The Aya now

I miss you...

Inspired by Mo Twister's tweets, I am making my own too.

Whenever we're not together...

...i miss sleeping and waking up beside you...

...i miss the way you flex infront of the mirror after taking a shower....

...i miss those times we just lay in bed and surf the channels...

...i miss lighting a cigarette for you and you lighting a cigarette for me....

...i miss you eating whats left in my food because i'm too full to finish it...

...i miss you waiting outside the gym for me...

...i miss kissing and hugging you in public...

...i miss going to the best restaurants in the metro just to know how they food tastes like...

...i miss how you keep quiet whenever i nag about your tardiness...

...i miss your in between work calls...

...i miss passing by shell in commonwealth and we both go "yihhheee!"

...i miss those days that we both go on a diet and get thin together...

...i miss strolling at the mall and going inside sports store just to compare prices...

...i miss you picking me up from my night-out with friends...

...i miss dancing close to you...

...i miss hearing you say "i love you, goodnight" after our usual before bed phone conversation...

...i miss your hilarious expressions: bobby dacer, subra subra, aayyy loko

...i miss how disorganized your things are but you still know where to find what you need...

...i miss watching all the good movies with you...

...i miss you holding my hand when we cross the street...

...i miss going out of town with you and having a blast...

...i miss giving you a kiss on the neck and you giggle...

don't make me miss you...stay forever! <3

Movie Critic (kuno!)

THOR
I am not a Marvel Comics fan, nor a superhero enthusiast, but I loved THOR.  Besides the leading character played by Chris , who’s a combination of Heath Ledger and Brad Pitt, the plot of the story was very interesting.
Highlights
-          Visual effects were amazing.
-          Thor walking across the room, half naked in black, tight fitting jeans showing off his incredible abs and brief muscles plus he is just so buff, he doesn’t have to flex to show what he has! (nakakalaglag talaga sya ng panty!)
-          Anthony Hopkins played the king and Rene Russo played the queen
-          Witty conversations between the characters
-          The chemistry between the main character and his leading lady (kakilig, sobra!)
Low lights
-          Thor’s warrior costume. What’s with the red cape? I don’t get it, why the hammer with a symbol much likes of the Charmed TV series?
-          Why do FBI agents wear suits all the time? Bawal ba yon casual look?
I can’t wait to see The Avengers....****

FAST AND THE FURIOUS 5
I’ve seen the past Fast and the Furious movies: the original Fast and the Furious, Tokyo Drift, Miami, the Fast and the Furious 4 and then last night, I saw the 5Th. All in all, the 5 movies were just awesome.
Highlights
-          Most of the original casts were present.
-          The movie was shot  in Brazil (Rio de Janeiro- the place I so want to go before I die)
-          Funny dialogues
-          Its Vin Diesel vs The Rock! The fight scene was UFC-like. Super astig!
-          Paul Walker was as cute as ever!
-          Every scene for the whole 2 hours of the movie will leave you at the edge of your seat. As in every single scene!
Low lights
-          There were so many action scenes; the usual high-tech car racing was not shown.
-          I was looking forward to seeing more of the amazing display of cars.
-          The ladies are just getting thinner and thinner.
-          The plot of the story, stealing the vault, was already done by “The Italian Job” and “Oceans 11”.
-          Every single bad person was killed during a shootout...except for the bad boss’s side kick.
-          The main female character was pregnant, but she ran, jumped to a roof and landed on concrete floor and survived. Bawal sa buntis yon, di ba?
-          Vin Diesel doesn’t have a 6-pack anymore. Boo!
-          Hate the soundtrack. Oh, there is no soundtrack! Boo!
If you stayed after the credits, you’ll wonder how the hell Michelle Rodriguez character suddenly became alive. Does it mean that there’s a 6Th movie? ***

The Ilocos Sur Experience

I've been to Ilocos last year, Holy Week, with my friends Cyrel ad Arnel. It was a road trip I will never ever forget. This year, I went back to Ilocos, with the most important person in my life, Uno. Our destination...CABUGAO, ILOCOS SUR.

day 1: we took a bus trip at 9pm via deluxe seating of PARTAS. The seats were humongous and very comfortable. So even if the trip was really (and i mean REALLY) fast, it was comfortable. 6 hours later and only 1 bus stop, we arrived in Vigan. Since we were supposed to go to Cabugao, we waited for 45 minutes to transfer to another Partas bus with 1st class seating, going to Cabugao. 30 minutes after, we are both standing outside their ancestral house, calling for someone to open the gate.

After the sumptuous breakfast and a 2 hour sleep, we were off to Vigan to buy myself stuff that I would be bringing home. The ordinary-non-aircon buses were the cheapest way to go to our destination. For P30/each person and 30 minutes after, I found myself at the Plaza, eating the super yummy Vigan empanada and a bowl of Sinanglaw. We also watched a wedding at the nearby church. I suddenly felt a rush of excitement that maybe, in the near future, I may be married here too. After going shopping for pasalubong at Calle Crisologo, we went back home and was greeted by a ala-fiesta dinner. And may I say, our dinner just kicked my diet out the window! While my other half spent time drinking with his childhood friends, I went with his sisters to see the talent show being held at the Plaza near by. Wasn't that fun because there were so many people eager to see the female artista making a fool of herself on stage by kissing some of the male audience. However, the Babaeng Ahas ( a female midget surrounded by big snakes) was quite interesting to see for P15.00.

day 2: slept really well and woke up full of energy. Today was the day that we were hitting the beach. I was craving for a tan. I needed a tan. Summer wouldn't be summer without me getting a tan. So there. Ilocano breakfast again that contributed to my weight gain, then we were off to the market to buy stuff that we need for our beach trip. 1 whole chicken, a kilo of liempo, 4 liters of sodas and a 100ml bottle of sunblock, we were ready. Renting a tricycle that brought us to and from the beach, strolled along the farm that their family owns and a close encounter with a cow, P150.00 rent for the hut and a long stroll to the main beach, me, Uno and the rest of his family were swimming in the beautiful waters of Cabugao Beach Resort a.k.a. the Boracay of the North. Its unbelievable how fine the sand is. It's not as white as the sands of Bora, but my gosh, it was fine! I didn't care if it was 11am in the morning and we were under the sun. We went swimming and took pictures and lay on the sand the whole morning, after lunch, before dinner and watched the awesome sunset. it was almost 8pm when we left the resort but it was all worth it. I had a fantastic time. This was the highlight of our vacation.

day 3: all tanned and so full from breakfast, we went to a nearby computer shop to treat the kids for some Internet games. The 1st computer shop we went to sucked! big time! besides the unavailability of good customer service, the place was hot, dirty and not all computers were working. Thank goodness for the other computer shop that offered good service (wala nga lang aircon) and fast Internet access. I checked my face book, sent emails and watched videos until my hour was over. Everyone had a good computer day. Conclusion: if we build a computer shop business here, we will be rich in no time.

This was the day that we just stayed at home. Bonding with the kids inside their air conditioned room, singing songs from the Karaoke, making ham and cheese roll, playing patintero with the adults too and just taking time to be with each other. It was nice to be around people who love each other very much.

day 4: Uno was brought to the hospital because of an allergy caused by a bee sting. Because the town is really small, their hospital is small too, but they did what they can do to ease Uno's itchiness.

At 9am, after the teary goodbyes and the overly generosity of his family, we were off to Vigan to catch an early bus trip to Manila. Riding that dreaded bus again, we arrived in Vigan just in time to buy the Longanisa and eat lunch. At 12nn, we were seated comfortably in a Partas bus bound for Cubao. After more than 50 towns, 25 stop overs and 12 hours later (estimated numbers only), we arrived home.

I was exhausted, wasted, tired and aching because of the past 4 days...but it was all worth it...and I will always go back to Ilocos and do everything all over again.

To Uno, thank you for bringing me where you grew up. Thank you for introducing me to your friends and other family members. Thank you for making me go with you to visit your parents. Thank you very much for a wonderful vacation.

To the Ramirez family, thank you for accepting me to be part of your lives. I will never ever forget this trip.
