Movie Critic (kuno!)

THOR

I am not a Marvel Comics fan, nor a superhero enthusiast, but I loved THOR.  Besides the leading character played by Chris , who’s a combination of Heath Ledger and Brad Pitt, the plot of the story was very interesting.

Highlights

-          Visual effects were amazing.

-          Thor walking across the room, half naked in black, tight fitting jeans showing off his incredible abs and brief muscles plus he is just so buff, he doesn’t have to flex to show what he has! (nakakalaglag talaga sya ng panty!)

-          Anthony Hopkins played the king and Rene Russo played the queen

-          Witty conversations between the characters

-          The chemistry between the main character and his leading lady (kakilig, sobra!)

Low lights

-          Thor’s warrior costume. What’s with the red cape? I don’t get it, why the hammer with a symbol much likes of the Charmed TV series?

-          Why do FBI agents wear suits all the time? Bawal ba yon casual look?

I can’t wait to see The Avengers....****

FAST AND THE FURIOUS 5

I’ve seen the past Fast and the Furious movies: the original Fast and the Furious, Tokyo Drift, Miami, the Fast and the Furious 4 and then last night, I saw the 5^Th. All in all, the 5 movies were just awesome.

Highlights

-          Most of the original casts were present.

-          The movie was shot  in Brazil (Rio de Janeiro- the place I so want to go before I die)

-          Funny dialogues

-          Its Vin Diesel vs The Rock! The fight scene was UFC-like. Super astig!

-          Paul Walker was as cute as ever!

-          Every scene for the whole 2 hours of the movie will leave you at the edge of your seat. As in every single scene!

Low lights

-          There were so many action scenes; the usual high-tech car racing was not shown.

-          I was looking forward to seeing more of the amazing display of cars.

-          The ladies are just getting thinner and thinner.

-          The plot of the story, stealing the vault, was already done by “The Italian Job” and “Oceans 11”.

-          Every single bad person was killed during a shootout...except for the bad boss’s side kick.

-          The main female character was pregnant, but she ran, jumped to a roof and landed on concrete floor and survived. Bawal sa buntis yon, di ba?

-          Vin Diesel doesn’t have a 6-pack anymore. Boo!

-          Hate the soundtrack. Oh, there is no soundtrack! Boo!

If you stayed after the credits, you’ll wonder how the hell Michelle Rodriguez character suddenly became alive. Does it mean that there’s a 6^Th movie? ***
